Funding

As part of our work with the Masham Connections business hub – we have developed a network of resources to support local businesses.   Here you will find a list of current funding opportunities that exist for small businesses.    If you find any new funding or grant information that is not on this list then please contact us

£10m Climate Negative Challenge Fund - Launch

This fund will offer grants to projects which demonstrate innovative ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and, in-turn, accelerate the region towards its ambition of achieving carbon-negative by 2040.

Could your project be key to helping York and North Yorkshire accelerate to its goal of becoming England’s first carbon negative region? The Carbon Negative Challenge Fund is now open to schemes which are innovative in nature and have the potential to inspire communities and even change the way our region drives decarbonisation.

The £7million fund welcomes both revenue and capital projects, and seeks applications from public and private sectors, as well as community groups, charities and collaborative partnerships. Projects must be ambitious, with the potential to scale up, and make a direct and regional impact on reducing greenhouse gasses.

Our minimum revenue grant allocation is £20,000 however, if you are an organisation wishing to discuss a smaller project, please contact us through the general ‘Get In Touch’ form at the foot of this page. Capital projects are welcome to apply for grants of up to £1.5million.  Find out more, or access the application process by following the links below:

Applicants should name as many partners as they can in their application to the Skills Innovation Fund, but we understand there may be circumstances where it may not be possible to name all up front and that changes can occur once a project commences. In all applications, it would be helpful to understand if there is a possibility you will need to add additional partners. For successful applicants, if there are partners you wish to include at a later date, please contact us for a discussion.
