The Masham Community Office helps promote the Mashamshire area to other businesses and visitors. So as well as providing a wealth of tourist information at our Visitor Centre and on the www.visitmasham website, we provide weekly or monthly emails and social updates to these audiences. Each provide a unique opportunity for you to advertise your business.
As a charity, your advertising revenue helps us to keep doing this foundational work to ensure we have presence when visitors search for things to do or see in the area, by advertising with us – you are ensuring that your business is seen and considered as part of their holiday search. By working together we are feeding the local economy and ensuring that everyone who shares this lovely corner of North Yorkshire can thrive.
We are a small charity with a very small team of employees, but the work that we do helps to fund our work as well as promoting the area and inspiring potential visitors or potential new residents or business owners to come, or stay!
Being at heart of our community, regularly reaching out to residents, other businesses and visitors, makes us perfectly positioned to showcase the great range of businesses – accommodation providers, places to eat & drink, suppliers, retailers, services and attractions that we have access to locally. Visit Masham Website
The VISIT MASHAM WEBSITE has been established for over 8 years. With a solid track record, it always appears high in search engine rankings and existing advertisers report high levels of referrals.
This year, we have launched 3 new websites:
The Visit Masham website for visitors has been upgraded to include more reasons to come and visit Mashamshire
The Community website provides an overview of services & news for residents
The Business website provides an overview of services and current news, training & grant opportunities
To give more flexibility we have now introduced some new online advertising options including, Boosted Listings, Sponsorship of What’s On, News & Highlights sections, Full Width Colour Ads and small visual ads on key pages.
Ads are available for quarterly or annual duration.
If you provide services to residents rather than Visitors, some ads can be placed on specific sites too.

All advertisers in the Trade Directory are automatically listed on the website. However, a “between print runs” web only option is available and charged pro-rata throughout the year.
Masham Trade Directory
The MASHAMSHIRE TRADE DIRECTORY. This Directory is a comprehensive listings directory of businesses and services for Mashamshire and the surrounding area. 2.5K copies of the directory are printed and distributed door-to-door in Mashamshire and to tourism establishments in the wider area.
It is well established as a source of information for locals and visitors alike – and lives in many other businesses including visitor accommodation locally.
It is produced on good quality paper, stapled with a card binder and printed in black and white. In addition to basic listings there are options to place further adverts – variety of sizes available.

Community Office Display Board
The COMMUNITY OFFICE DISPLAY BOARD. The Community Office attracts an average of 1,000 visitors per month out of season and 2,000 during the summer. This board is prominently positioned in the dedicated Tourism Information part of the Community Office and guaranteed to catch the eye of these visitors.
