Crumb Bakery Opening Weekend
There’s a new independent business in Mashamshire, and it has received a very warm welcome from the local community and visitors alike.
Crumb Bakery opened its doors for a soft launch over the August Bank Holiday weekend, attracting a constant stream of customers eager to sample their freshly baked pastries, breads and sweet treats.
We popped in to show our support and were certainly not disappointed. Alongside a loaf of their delicious wholemeal sourdough, we enjoyed some sweet treats and iced coffees. A personal favourite was the Pistachio and White Chocolate Pastry, packed with flaky layers and a deliciously sweet filling. We also shared an almond croissant, which was the perfect accompaniment to a morning coffee.
The response to the opening weekend was fantastic, with the bakery selling out by early afternoon. The team are now taking a few days to recover from the busy launch before officially opening their doors on Wednesday 9 September.
Located in the former butcher’s shop, Crumb Bakery is a fantastic new addition to Mashamshire, bringing another welcoming place for locals and visitors to enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat, with some tables available inside and out.
There’s plenty to choose from, including classic favourites such as croissants, sugar doughnuts and cinnamon swirls, alongside more unusual creations such as lemon meringue cruffins and banana bread pain suisse. For those who prefer something savoury, there are also mushroom mascarpone Danish pastries and cheesy twists along with sandwiches and other specials.
We wish the team at Crumb Bakery every success with this exciting new venture and look forward to returning soon to try more of their amazing, freshly baked goods!
